How do you rate the marking scheme of your child's teacher? Are they penalized for the slightest irregular handwriting, eg capitalisation, punctuation in spelling? Hence the entire answer is considered wrong? :?

While I understand it is for the good of the children, I do find it kind of harsh and worry that it might have negative effects on the child's confidence. Are they taught in the first place? How effective is this Stellar program?

Anyway, I have started to do go through punctuations and grammar with my DS to supplement what he learnt in school.

yeah i do agree tat it’s for the gd of the kids… better to train fm young… but like tankee, i find it’s a bit harsh lor. Despite my efforts to remind my child daily n more practices at hm, sometimes the worksheets returned still reflects same mistakes! sigh… maybe gotta learn it the hard way but very "sayang" lor…

oh ya, this fri is International Friendship Day. Did any of ur kids mention tat they hv to wear costumes?

It was stated in the school term 2 letter. I don’t recall reading about no chinese costume part.

Is it ok to opt out and wear uniform that day?

                      That's my worry too.

But when I discussed with my DS, he told me \"Don't worry\" ... hopefully he really would not feels left out. 🙏
