      Jennifer:
Conversational Malay is under P/F grading system, not A/F grading system. GPA is calculated for subjects under the A/F grading system. For more details, refer to the yellow booklet \"Academic Prog information\".

Yes, all those subjects(art, PE, etc) are not under A/F grading, but they were put into the GPA nevertheless for this term. Interestingly, electives were not graded and not counted in GPA for Term 1.

The average GPA for JH1 for this term 1 was thus 3.36.

My boy's name was spelled wrongly in the GPA result slip (hence returned the slip to teacher in charge to correct, did not bring home today). He said the computation is aka PSLE t-score, not the student's raw score. And also he confirmed his French was not included in the GPA. Also said his carelessness in the Maths test brou his GPA down.

3.36 is at least a B. Seems like the cohort is doing fairly well.

            Oh I see πŸ™‚

By the way, my niece is not sure which school ( NY / NJC ) is better for her. I advised her to try out the DSA for both and see how, but she wants an answer. After speaking to my children, she is still caught in between the two choices.

Any advice for her? She is a vibrant, cheerful and rather outspoken girl. No preference as to sec / co-ed, but sis in law prefers co-ed as she thinks gina needs to learn how to communicate with boys, but my bro in law values billingualism. She does fairly well, normally top 5 in class. So... I'm not sure what to tell her and she demands an answer! 😞

              noob:

Please bear in mind that HCI cut-off 257 inclusive of Higher Chinese points, as for NJC without HCL:D
Yahor, forgot to point that out to MdmKS.

              Good observation, noob. Thanks

Oh, the triplets . Mingyi, mingxia and ming jun right? Mrs Lim told me that NJC was the best choice too during my son’s PTM in RI. But of course, best in what sense? She did not specify.

Seems so, but I heard there are one or two who got below 2.0
But still, well done to the JH1s πŸ™‚

Heard that Mrs Cheng is trying to push all of them for above 3.5 avg...

I think those who failed their Maths test most probably got a lower GPA. It's likely to be careless mistakes. These students should do better next round.

Agreed they have done fairly well. Heard 20+ students make it to the dean's list, WELL DONE!
