Pls could someone advise:


For end Nov to early mid December period, where is the best place (in terms of location, convenient to travel) to have a chance to see snow? Accommodation has all been booked in Shinjuku area.

Am travelling with 3 kids age bet 6 to 12.

Itinerary for our 9 day DIY trip so far only includes Yokohama, Disney Sea & Disney land, Harajuku & Yoyogi Park.

Any expert advice would be appreciated!

Can try Hokkaido, to and fro about 14000 yen a person via Peach Airlines.

No snow in Tokyo i am afraid during this period...

I find it expensive to fly to and fro Hokkaido within a day just to allow the kids to see some snow. Is there anywhere nearer to Tokyo for a chance to see and play with snow? Will not be skiing.

First time DIY trip to Japan. Which are the ‘must visit’ or ‘good to visit’ with kids places in or near Tokyo? Doing day trips. Could you offer some recommendations?

Based on my experience, for the period you are going, there is no snow in Tokyo.
If you are lucky enough, you can try Ueno Park.

Tokyo Dome City is a good place for kids.

Do not buy too much back home. There are some forumers that
bought a lot, tried to ship back the items, in the end, the parcels
were stuck in Japan because they contained food items
(matcha powder, non-cooked macaroni,etc)

Difficulty of hotel shouldn't be that bad. I can do some \"magic\" to help if required.
En-route to Hokkaido: Via Peach airlines (http://www.flypeach.com).
NOTE: Below prices exclude luggage. (1 piece 1080 yen if my memory nv fails me)

For 1 week, depends where you all are going, class of hotel, etc. I think about 8k should be doable. Max i think around 5-6k, really depends on hotel and air tickets.

I check mid Dec, from Narita to Hokkaido, tickets are still quite cheap.
