      Jennifer:
Need some advice on the following itinerary:

Has anyone been to Jozankei? I have some reservations about this Day activity only in Jozankei. I understand from the various tour agencies that for someone who does not know how to ski, spending a whole day at a ski resort might be boring. Is this really so?

      Appreciate inputs. :thankyou:
I have not been there, but if you are concern abt what a non- skier can do, check with the agent if they offer snow tubing. That is always a fun activity for kids and non-skier. Rusutsu has it.

        Flowermonaster:

May I know the tour guide you refer to is Japan local tour guide or SG?
the japan local tour guide ( hongkonger) the one from singapore is only a tour leader. she dont guide. it is a must to use local licensed guide (according to the hongkee)

I hope mine is not a hongkonger. I prefer Jap or Taiwanese. Had a good Taiwanese tour guide before when I visited Tokyo 3 years ago. Not pushy at all. 😄

              Hello charlotte_momo,

We visited Hokkaido last year Jul-Aug to see flowers field in Furano but not in Mar.
I have attached my F&E Hokkaido trip itineraries, hope you can see.
I think it will be very different in temp and place to visit but those are some popular places you could visit.

Hi Learning Dad, Is there an itinerary attached? I can't see any.
We are planning to spend a week in Tokyo & a week in Hokkaido just to ski (both kids are avid skiers) in Dec - anyone has any particular resort to recommend? We usually travel on our own and plan our itinerary. This year, it's just me with the 2 kids - first ski trip without DH, who is too busy with work. I would love tips/suggestions as I have never been to Hokkaido. Many thanks!

So sorry, forgotten to click the attach button and new to many things here.
Due to the different seasons, it will be totally different experiences.
Visited Tokyo in 2009, free and easy for 10days.
If you need itinerary, I could search for it.

My family was there at early December and snow was still new, forming powdery heaps on the grounds. The experience was so wonderful, everything was beautiful and every meal was a delicacy to me even if it was just rice and steamed ingredients. I never liked red apples but after seeing how much the brown bears at the farm enjoyed them, I ate one too and thought it was really sweet, juicy and crunchy. I totally felt the bears! Lol! 😂

Because it was Winter that we visited Hokkaido and DH was not too comfortable driving in the snow when DD was only 3, we took up a tour package. We were lucky that the group was small and that we really got along very well, sharing food, winter stuff and sometimes Japanese Yen. I would definitely love to do another free and easy tour during other seasons.

Thank you so much, LeaeningDad. Much appreciated. May I know how you got around? Self drive? Any good accommodations/car rental to recommend? And if it is not too much trouble, would ove to see your Tokyo itinerary as well. Many thanks again!
