DH is sick so I cooked sweet potatoes porridge with braised peanuts, braised fish and tofu, steamed egg and stir fry spinach.

Looks like more porridge tomorrow if DH doesn't get well soon.

Hope your DH is feeling better.

Thanks. πŸ˜„ I hope so too.
tks for your reply Dreamgear. Both Pri & sec schools have same principal right? I thought they will have the same type of 'culture'?

But different syllabus. I suppose if there is a major exam target in place like psle, then the school will have to be very focus in that.... Thats what they excel in. In ip there no major exam target in place, therefore the school will have more leeway .

Hi sparks.. Can you please elaborate on what type of 'culture' are you referring to ?

In lower primary, teachers tend to be more nurturing and less result-oriented coz the kids are small. As the kids move on to upper primary, teachers tend (and need) to be more result-oriented. Frankly, I would be worried if they are not. However, the teachers are no less caring & encouraging.

In fact, I find the 'culture' in CHS much less competitive than in many other schools. My neighbor's kid who is from a neighborhood school (also in P5) has so many supplementary & remedial classes to attend everyday. DS2, on the other hand, can still play soccer after school everyday :faint: .. DS2 also does not have much homework, so he is always feeling so relaxed at home everyday, which kinda makes me a little worried, actually.. πŸ˜‚
I agree with you, firefly38. I realised DS doesn't have that much homework compared to other schools although i feel that school dismissal time of 1:45pm is rather late. He has Chinese tuition (potato son needs it) once a week at home and that's about it.

I must be very aunty.. I love to shop in supermarkets especially cold storage..Maybe because I am more homely and I love to cook.. Other shops do not entice me as much.. I wonder why :scratchhead:

      Anyway back to the topic.

Hubby and I :snuggles: almost daily. Every night, we catch up before bedtime.. Nothing about work or our son.. Just purely our own intimate conversation
I love supermarkets too. It used to be my way to destress when work got too much. Although now it has become almost a daily affair, i don't feel bored at all. Aside from the usual Fairprice and Cold Storage (used to really like Carrefour too 😞 ), I enjoy going to Meidi-Ya in Liang Court. The cute Jap packaging always entice me to buy, buy, buy! Haha.

:snuggles: is great for couples. πŸ˜„ DH and I did that a lot more last time (DS was/still is an early sleeper) before DD came...hmmm....something I really should work on again.

I finally removed a (hated) mole on my face. Was quite starstruck by Dr Georgia Lee. Hahaha! She said I have aged spots and need ipl...... :gloomy: Those who did ipl before pls advise level of pain. Scale of 0-10. I heard it's like rubberbands snapping on the skin? :yikes:

      Thanks in advance!

All these school selection gives me a migraine. I just want my DD to go to a nearby single gender school (not a top school) also so difficult. So much competition. Makes me rather resentful of our overpopulated country, to be honest.

Count mi in....freaking out big time for a supposedly simple decision. Would we be asking for too much if SC would be given absolute or rather better priority in the whole admission system..... :siam:

      Let's explore more options. πŸ˜„

As for the priority issue...hehe...let's hope the system continues to improve until it's our turn to register our kiddos into primary one!
