Can anyone suggest some breakfast places near Kyoto station and Osaka station? We will not be having breakfast in the hotel and so we need something to eat at around 7am to 8am??

I personally like to eat at Delifrance, which is about 10 mins walk away from the station. They have a very special way of brewing coffee.

including Mc Donald wink:
convenient stores and souvenir shops at Kyoto station sell onigiri and sandwiches too -
some big train stations sell bentos & drinks at the platforms.

Those checked by tsa will have a letter in the luggage informing them it has been opened by tsa -
You mean there are some customs who will cut the locks so as to examine the contents of the luggage?
