Is CCA compulsory starting from p3? If yes, what are the cca days, i.e. Wed, Fri, Sat? Thanks.

Hi
Just want to find out, for the Prize Giving Ceremony, does the school gives out prizes to the first of each class, first in school or first in each subjects for P2?
Thanks! -

Not sure if any changes this year. I can only share based on last year:Hi

For P1 and P2, class positions are not known, so there is no so-called 'first' prize. They call it excellence in English /Chinese/Maths prize for each class. Not sure if there is a tie, but last year there were 2 prizes for each subject for my child's class. Each prize is $10 popular voucher if I recall correctly. Before the start of the prize ceremony, the Principal encouraged the children to work harder next year and do not be overly disappointed or envious of their classmates as everyone can do it as long as we put in our efforts. At the same time, she ask them to clap and cheer for their friends who went on stage to receive their prize in recognition of the good work done. All students get to attend the prize giving ceremony last year, which I think is very meaningful. There is also 4 or 5 model pupil prize for each level. -

CCA is not compulsory. I understand from a friend that her P2 has been given the CCA list as well as option forms. -
Hi
My kid is interested in Science CLub CCA.
Does anyone know what does Science Club CCA do? Do they follow the moe
science syllabus? Does the child get to do experiment? Is it led by teachers or outside vendor?
Thanks. -
Hi,
Does anyone knows how the P2 chinese class are grouped?
Does the students go to the allocated class for chinese?
Actually I’m surprised that they are "streamed" in P2 already.
Quite stressful! -
Yes. During Chinese, the students will leave their usual class rooms to go to the allocated Chinese class. They are group according to their results bah.
