      Hi, jtoh,
      What is HP ?

Answering for jtoh - I think it's the Humanities Program. So there must be a lot of people on the scheme these days? In the early days, in a different JC, there were just 2 classes of us, and mine only had 12 students!

      gardenia, it's the Humanities Programme.

slmkhoo, I don't know how many students there are now. Just a couple of classes I believe. Of these, some are HP scholars and some are not. They are a privileged lot, travelling to Paris in Year 5.

            I believe it's subsidized.

The subsidy rate is very low. iirc is around 10%, can apply for financial assistance

Financial assistance is only for those with below-median income, right? Such trips are still quite a strain for those who don't qualify for assistance but whose family income is not high.

Might be different for the HP scholars.

Do they attend classes at some school or institution?
