Jeans

slmkhoo:
Any suggestions where to buy jeans for a teenage girl (16)? She's not fussy about brands etc, but likes comfort so doesn't like skinny and tight jeans. She's not tall and has a stocky build, so she will need a cutting that is wider in the hips and thighs. We also want cheap! Thanks in advance.
Uniqlo has a few cuts of jeans. -
Think I saw at H&M too.

I bought few pcs of blouse/long/short sleeve shirt from M&S Jem/Westgate(? Bldg has direct connection to JE MRT stn) at good discount at end of Sept/early Oct. The prices was around 70% reduction and when buy at least 3 pcs got few more % off then..so my long sleeve cream color light material blouse was only less than $30
I m not sure if that is a permanent price reduction corner(?) but it looks like one to me.Saw some jeans there but never browse through though.
Had stretchable jeans from M&S before which I wear very frequently..I like the high waist, can tuck in my extras more neatly. -
My daughter is heavier at the bottom but slim on top (pear shape. Waist is about 25 and buttock is 28).
she tried Levis curvy series that is supposed to be for 'curvy' ladies and she felt that one not suitable.
she tried Uniquo jeans and she has to wear size 27 and still have the 'slipping down' problems.
she ever tried her luck at Selfridges that stock all sorts of jeans and the one that was suitable is TWO HUNDRED AND SEVENTY POUNDS! (so didn't buy)
She continued to search and found the best fit from:

You may want to try esp now at a great discount (she bought it at full price last year). Size 26 fits her perfectly (her comments are 1. material heavy material that doesn't 'hug' the legs and hang nicely as a straight cut. 2. it's a mid-rise jeans with button around the waist and so the jeans doesn't 'slip down').
Good luck!

PS:
She used to buy her more formal pants from Marks & Spencer (Size 10). Didn't fit perfectly but were the best that she could find in Singapore for her shape. -
I buy my jeans from bossini and Giordano.
the earlier batch of ankle length bottoms from bossini fit me perfectly. no need to alter. think I bought 4…black, khaki, navy blue and peach. -
Ntuc x-tra. No frills jeans. Cheap and comfy.

We just got a pair from Giant this afternoon. $16.90 only! There were even cheaper ones, but the material was thinner. She doesn’t wear jeans often, and this is for our vacation next month, so we didn’t want to spend too much. As always, I will have to take in the waist and shorten them - looks like she’s following my shape.

But it's a bit risky if you can't try them before buying? I dare not buy clothes online! She continued to search and found the best fit from:

For clothes, it’s risky to buy online. The cut may not fit on our bodies.
I only dare to buy online for my kids.
