Previously the top 40 for P4s will go to 5.2, and next 40 to 5.3 and so on. My DD was from 6.2 in last year, and for the last year PSLE result, the top 12 mentioned in on PSLE result day were all from 6.2.
My 2DS now in 6.3. He was top 3 in 5.3 last year but did not even qualify for the Edusave scholarships which are awarded to the top 10% of the cohort. That goes to show that all the better students are grouped in 5.2. For this year, and the first in 6.3 is 12th in whole level.
For this year, I was told the top 120 of P4s are assigned to 5.4, 5.5 and 5.6 and not concentrated in a particular class. -
My child is in 5.6. How abt yr child, Mashy?:)
