My DD scored 259+2, is there any chance for HCI and DHS? Looks like the overall Tscore is higher this year, hard to estimate the COP..

Dont worry about whether there is any chance. 259+2 is a very good score. Alllocation is by merit. Just 敢敢放 for 1st 2 choices. Even if you miss by say 1-3 points, you can try appealing and chances of success are higher if the school is placed as 1st choice. You just need to ensure remaining 4 choices are of schools with a reasonable range of historical COPs lower than her T-score.

p.s. If DD, she cant go to HCI. Are you referring to NYGH?

Congratulations, 259+2 is a great score! If it's HCI you are referring to (instead of NYGH- since u indicated DD), I would say you stand a good chance. Cos seems that EESIS cutoff is 262, and based on previous years' HCI cutoff being around - 2 to 3 below EESIS cutoff, then with 259+2, HCI is certainly within reach, or stand a good chance on appeal. Put it as 1st choice. Good luck!

            Is this really true?
            Example:
If there are 2 pupils choosing the same school.
One put it as first choice.
Another put it as 3rd choice and did not get the first 2 choices.
If they have the same score, will they have the same chance to get the school or ...?

Although they won't explicitly tell you it makes any difference, I think it does. So choose carefully.

I meant will the MOE system give the same chance for both pupils in terms of posting selection?

There is the decimal points. If 2 students get 250 and apply for the same school for example, MOE will go into the decimals. If one gets 250.3 and the other 250.4, then the 250.4 will get the nod. MOE does not publish the decimal points though.

Thanks a lot for the contributuon! Sorry for the typo error, it is DS. We are just thinking to try HCI as 1st choice then. Basically give up RI, since no chance. If lucky enough, HCI, or DHS, if both missed, then NJC, may have chance?
