i feel sgps food too expensive. my boy bought 3pcs of nuggets for $1. $0.90 for milo. seriously this is over priced for primary school. I checked with other schools and they dont sell so expensive. any parents here in psg? how do we go about to feedback these kind of issues?

Wanna know the bag load for p1
Looking at bags now, but looking at the books needed to bring to sch for teacher to keep, not sure if we need ergonomic bags or not.. Eyeing on one, super expensive 😞

hmm but I don’t see it stated in the hand book if they are allowed to leave these books in school all the time? Hmmm, or eventually they will have to carry it up and down daily after the first week?

Will see how after a week of school then we'll decide if should really need an ergonomic bag.

At least 1kg for an ergonomic bag without books.. 😞

                Hi all,

Hope all are well and in less than a month, our kids will be heading back to school and will be exciting for those who are joining the P1 cohort in 2016.

Everyone should have bought your books and stationaries, bags and shoes etc.

I like to share my own personal experience watching my DS in SGPS. I firmly believed this is a good school and definitely has fit my DS. He had enjoyed very much and over the years watching him grew and learning, building his self-confidence was relieving. Though there will be times when challenges sunk in or he may had faced difficulties in solving problems, those were just a part of the process of learning.

Give your utmost support and love in area of his interest. The school has many activities and good teachers that could render the assistance to our child. For those who entering P1, enjoy the moments of a new chapter for your boy. Its the beginning of a journey. Do not stress out but embrace the exciting times you will be facing soon. Let the nature takes it course while as parent, give the fullest support and encouragement in due course.

May the Lord continues to bless all of us and our children in SGPS.

Have a wonderful holiday as we march into 2016 with our children.

                Cheers!

Wow Samihiap, thanks for your post. Its very assuring to read it and nice to know your boy is enjoying his Primary school life. I hope our P1 boys will too!

Well, its a new milestone for our boys heading into Primary 1, (and also a new milestone for us as parents too!) so really very hard not to worry. Most of the boys are coming in from a childcare center or kindy which have a much more sheltered environment as compared to Primary school, so there's the usual worries of wondering if they can buy their own food, finish eating within the given recess time and if they can focus and pay attention while sitting at their desks in class (hope my boy don't fall asleep in class man! :rotflmao: )

Given time I am sure all of them will get used to their new routine of P1 and learn how to be more independent. (I sometimes think kids are much more adaptable than parents!)

Here's wishing all parents and boys the best wishes of the season and happy getting ready for a new chapter in our lives! πŸ˜„

Also, any parents bought the ART bag from the book list? Is it printed with the school logo?
