Hi!papamoses:
Hi!
Anyone know what is the minimum/average percentage for getting into 5A and 5B? When will we know the streaming results?
This was based on my memory of a couple years ago (my DD's year) so it may be slightly different now.
The streaming results were released in December (roughly the last two weeks or so).
As for the criteria, roughly the top 4/5 of each class in P4 will end up in 5A (about high 80s for percentage min.) while those just below will go to 5B.
Yes, we have gotten posting and what Belle77 said is true. -

Hi, I received this from level master on 27 Nov.
This is for P2 next year.
--------------------------------------------
Dear Parents,
As the school year comes to an end, I would like to thank you for partnering the school to help your child/children in his/their academic pursuits and character development.
There are a few matters which I would like to highlight to you.
1. Travel Declaration via MCOnline
Kindly be reminded to make your travel declaration via MCOnline by 27th November. A nil return is required. If you have already done so via the hard copy, then there is no necessity to declare via MCOnline.
2. iRead Programme
During the year-end school holidays, as part of our drive to get pupils to read, pupils are expected to read 5 English and 5 Chinese books. They are to write their reflections on each book they have read in the READ forms which can be found in the iREAD booklets. There is a form to be done in English for all the English books read and another in Chinese.
3. First Day of School for 2016
The first day of school for 2016 is Monday, 4 January 2016. The reporting time for the PM session remains at 12.25 pm. The dismissal time for that day will be 6.20 pm.
Your child will report to the Old Sports Hall on the first day.
Attached are the items for your child to bring on the first day of school.
Day 1, 4th January 2016
- STELLAR Handwriting Book
- FTGP Book
- Small Exercise Book (labelled Spelling)
- Blue Notebook (labelled Mental Sums)
- Jotter Book (labelled SBA Writing)
- Mathematics Activity Book
- Report Book
Subsequently, teachers will inform pupils on a daily basis on the items to bring to school.
Pupils will need to bring their stationery and their Pupil Diary to note down instructions given by their teachers.
4. December Holiday Programmes
During the December break, I am sure both you and your child will be spending some quality time together. Attached below are links to available holiday programmes that may interest you.

5. 2015 Parents’ Survey
All parents are strongly encouraged to participate in our school Parents’ Survey. You can participate by logging into your child’s McOnline account. The survey title should appear on the tab on the left of the screen.
Click on Pei Chun Public School Parents’ Survey 2015 公立培群学校家长调查问卷. A survey form will appear. The survey will open on 19 November and close on 22 December 2015.
Thank you for taking the time to read this email.
We would like to wish you and your child a wonderful holiday.
