It is the principal, teachers n students of the new jc, not the name, that will make the school beautiful. So let's embrace it - Eunous Junior College!

Oops! Should be Eunoia Junior College

Hmm.... what a name.

You know ah?

They should do one of those crowd sourcing thing. You know ah? Organise a competition for people to come out with a name for the new JC. And we can all come out with Eunoia as the winning entry.

I had to check out its correct pronunciation.

http://mothership.sg/2015/12/theres-goi%20...%20nounce-it/
The word ‘Eunoia’ is the shortest English word containing all five vowels. It means the goodwill towards an audience, either perceived or real; the perception that the speaker has the audience’s interest at heart.

In Greek, it means “beautiful thinking” or a “well mind.”
For a while, I thought Eunoia was another new JC located in Eunos

If the name cannot evoke any sense of belonging or association with the 3 feeder schools, might as well forget about it and join a more establish JC. I expected the committee to come out with a better name after so many years.

Oops! Should be Eunoia Junior College
Seriously, I can imagine the number of times students asking a cabby to drive them to Eunoia JC...

And end up in Eunos.

Then it is better to tell the taxi driver to go to EJC instead of the full name.

Eunoia is actually a beautiful greek word.

Eu literally translates to good.
Noia literally translates to mind.
If this is the name of an academic institution in Europe, there’ll probably be little hype. Unfortunately moe gives a Greek name to a jc in a country that knows no greek, and worse to a country which is great at puns and satirical humour. Now the name of the jc is the butt of the joke online.
Bishan JC is a name the RIJC students give to themselves. So it’s "choped" and it is not normal nothing much.
