keen to venture westward to Hiroshima and Miyajima or all the way to Kyushu? -
Thanks starlight1968sg for your suggestions? How long does it take and any attractions?
I am thinking of :
1) A ski resort where my children can have fun
2) Indoor water theme park
3) Private onsen in ryokan/room
4) Any other theme parks (been to USJ and both Disney Land & Disney Sea)
5) Or maybe Hokkaido -

My holidays are closing in! :rahrah:
Hi, can anyone please tell me how much time do we need to set aside for airport checkin at Haneda? Is it 2 hours ahead of departure time or more? My SQ departure flight is @ 8.50am. So, the airport limo bus schedules to Haneda airport are really limited to only Shinjuku or Shibuya. Actually had wanted to stay at Tokyo waterfront city.
Do you think it is better to stay twice in Shinjuku or stay in Shibuya for 2nd leg for a different vibe/experience? Each leg is only 2-3 days. Thanks! -

I would suggest you give at least 2 hours. You can take a express train from Shinagawa Station to Haneda Airport. It takes 14 minutes and cost you 410 yen. Should you stay in Shibuya, you can take the train from Shibuya Station and transfer at Shinagawa Station. It will take about 15 mintues. All in all, you need about an hour to reach the check-in counter. Hope it help.

My family just came back from a ski resort - Nozawa-Onsen. Due to global warming, only mountain top is opened for skiing. But we have fun as Nozawa's easy run is 2 km long at the mountain top. Nozawa itself is a village town, therefore, beside skiing, you can also visit the town and their food outlets. The town has 13 public onsens (free of charge) and of course the hotels you stay will have their private onsen as well. Beware, the water is very hot.
I have done a few skiing trips in Japan and Nozawa is one of my favourite place. Cheers!

Thanks for your advice Cheerfuldad. I have yet to explore taking trains as I think my family enjoy the convenience of being pickup at the hotel.Hi sparks,

Can I know if there are any other bus services other than the airport limousine service that is reliable, reasonable & can offer earlier timing from Tokyo waterfront city to Haneda airport like 6.30am?
Also, do you buy the airport limousine bus voucher before going to Tokyo? Seems like it's more worthwhile to get them in Spore?

You can compare the prices. Think not worth to get in SG... Also, suggest you stay in Haneda Kuukou No. 1/2 Toyoko Inn the night before since ur flight is in the morning. There is a free shuttle bus to the airport from Toyoko Inn.
