May I know is it advisable to get a printer in which the kid come to Sec 1? Many assignment that requires a lot of printing?

For my son's case, yes there was indeed a lot. We bought laserjet b&w printer.

Does Sec.1 students need to bring all the textbooks on the first week? Normally the school schedule will be from 7:30am to 14:10pm, right?

But i check all the links, there’s no daily timetable.And also, the Sec.1 camp will start from the second week, not the first week. So what are they going to do? Normal lessons?

Based on the SJI sec 1 website, the school recommends to bring the books as per the time table published on their website.

Impressed w SJI’s regular and comprehensive updates to date! A good start to parents’ engagement!


N just ruefully realised SJI fees are 30 to 40 times more than a govt school. Hope that translates to smaller class tchr student ratio, better resources n more enrichment opportunities for our kids.

CCA options look v limited though. Looks like if not good in sports will end up in uniform groups or bands n that will take up lots of time? Any advice from any parents?
