        Hi YH mummy,
I am a current parent of this school. For distance wise you may use one map http://www.onemap.sg/index.html to help you determine the distance between your house and the school. MOE use this to determine the distance as well. As for registration processes and phases you may get all the information from this website http://www.moe.gov.sg/education/admissi ... on/phases/. Hope this will help you. By the way, the school do have a student care in the school and is managed by Pro-Teach http://pro-teach.com/home.php. Hoping to see you in WPS we are one big family. :rahrah:

            Hi YH Mummy,
Nice to know that you are keen on WPS in fact I am one of the pioneer batch of parents to have enroll my child in this school back in 2013 and personally I think is a good decision as my child enjoy going to school and if a child enjoy school the result can be massive. I can't comment on Greenridge PS as my child don't study there. WPS uses lego set as one of their teaching medium and the school organize quite a bit of events for the students to take part at the same time they do invite parents to join in the activitites so it is very good in engaging parents. They are the only school in Singapore which have a sand pit for students to build sand castle it is also use as a teaching medium. The school makes learning interesting in other words it is learn through play parents might be concern at the end of the session children will not learn anything but I can tell you this is not the case come next year my girl will be going to P3 and overall I think she has done well. WPS might not have PSLE results to show for but recently some of their students did very well in the Singapore and Asian Mathematics Olympiad competition bagging 1 gold 10 silver and 4 bronze. Certain students who are weak in certain subjects are to stay back after school for remedial lessons once they show improvement remedial lessons is not required. The school also stress importance in discipline generally the students are quite well behaved. Every now and then the school encourage and rewards students for their good behavior. The principle also engaged the parents just this year we have two chit chat sessions(organize by the principle) with her to voice out our concern over certain issues and quarterly letters are issued to parents to keep us informed of issues happening in the school. The teachers are dedicated and caring. The school also take in parents feedback seriously. I think you can see for yourself your posting in this forum the school actually reply you pretty fast. Once in a while some parents might also advise you over here. As for outdoor activities, every year during the children day the school will organize a outdoor trip for the students to learn something. The first year my child went to East Coast for sand castle building and this year the P2 visited Garden by the Bay and the P1 visited Dairy farm nature park. I suggest you visit the school website http://www.westspringpri.moe.edu.sg/ to find out more about the school. For the past 2 years WPS had the most students register under phase 2C among all the schools in Bukit Panjang. There is a interesting video about the school at the website which will help you understand the school even better. Last but not least hope to see your child in 2017.

                  Happy New Year to all.

It's an exciting day tomorrow as it's the first day of the new school term. We welcome all new students and parents to the West Spring Primary School Family. I heard the Parent Support Group will be helping tomorrow to make the first day of school enjoyable for all. Well done to all the volunteers of the PSG for taking time out of their busy schedule to help. We all appreciate everything they do. It's a great school with a great team and community. I am a parent of a current West Springer and really appreciate the dedication and support of both the staff and the volunteers.

There are a few of us parents in this forum who are happy to assist others in anyway we can. Please do remember to use the MCONLINE parents forum to ask the school direct questions. The school replies on that forum promptly within three working days.

Wishing all new parents and students an enjoyable first day at school tomorrow.

I am very glad to hear that tenko cos the children will definitely feel welcomed and warm with the presence of familiar faces. I am sure you will all definitely make the return to school an easier one. Good job psg and thanks wps for giving us all the opportunity to be part of our children's educational journey.

When I share with my colleagues and friends about how open & inviting the school, they are so envious as their children's sch are not like this.I am glad I made the right decision to put my child there who is extremely excited about going to school tomorrow. ๐Ÿ˜„

                        Hi Ms KC,

I am a fellow parent and would like to help you. The name tag needs to be above the west spring logo.

                        Hope it helps.
