DS came home yesterday and told me excitedly that his classroom is on the 6th floor which overlooks the sea. There are planes taking off in the far distance too. Very relaxing. But I reminded him to concentrate in class too.

Good to hear that he's liking the experience so far. The land in front of VS (along the expressway) is currently under the Government Land Sales programme. Sea view is likely to be blocked once a condo comes up. :slapshead:

Thanks Thinkerrr!

Oh no, it will be such a pity if blocked!
But I hope the boys can still continue enjoy some beach activities during their PE, X-country or VIA.
I think the underpass will be untouched, so PE lessons can still be conducted at East Coast Park. šŸ˜„

need to choose CCA now. 9 choices. My DS is not the active type though. šŸ˜„
I think most CCAs are quite active, with 1-2 sessions per week. For non-physical CCAs, there are those like the Infocomm Club or Photography & Journalism Club. One thing to note is that a number of CCAs, though not sports-related, still involve drills and PT. The student leaders can give more advice on this.

Hi Y1/S1 parents. Is there any PTM on 15 Jan besides the CCA showcase? :scratchhead:

As per the email announcement addressed to parents which you will receive after the sch has updated parents' details:

\"Start time for school in 2016. From 2015, the school has started at 8.30am for students every Thursday. This will continue to be the same in 2016. With many CCAs having training on Wednesday, we hope the late start on Thursday will enable students to have more sleep on Wednesday night. During 7.30-8.30am on Thursday mornings, our teachers will meet in professional learning teams to discuss teaching-learning matters (e.g. how to improve student learning in a topic)\".

\"For flag raising, students are to assemble in the School Hall (on Mondays and Wednesdays),
their respective classrooms (on Tuesdays)
and Parade Square (on Fridays), In case of inclement weather on Friday, flag-raising will be held in the Hall.
Thursday. All students are to be in their respective classrooms when flagraising starts at 8.30am
\". šŸ˜„

As far as I know the full uniform with tie rule still applies in the morning. šŸ˜„
