      Hi,

Can anyone advise if distance is really important in selecting a Pri school? I'm an old school girl of Tao Nan but I'm staying in Pasir Ris. No plans to move house so if I register my daughter into Tao Nan, she will need to travel from Pasir Ris to Marine Parade every day. Is this advisable? or better for me to register her in a Pri Sch in Pasir Ris itself?

      Thanks!

      hope you'll find this useful

Since you consider both to be very good schools, then why not make things easy and just let your DD join her brother at Henry Park?
Unfortunately, when DD goes into P1, DS would have finished P6, otherwise, it would definitely be HPPS.

mine is GOOD planning okay! 😛 so that i dun have to deal with 2 babies at the same time. 😉 anyway, we have plans to move after dd1 finishes p6 so phases 1-2A are useless to us.

                Verykiasuparents,

Some couples could be trying hard for #2, but ‘swimmers’ don’t swim hard to reach ‘target’, that’s why there is big age difference.
My kids are about 5 years difference…bcos I wasn’t planning to have #2 after son was born with cleft.

Even so, your DD will still be eligible for Phase 2A2 for HPPS. That's also a shoo-in.

Be sensitive...you may be fertile and productive, others may not be...not very issue is \"jokable\" esp. when it comes to marriage and babies. I have friends who have #2 after 13 years later...is that super poor family planning?

For some women who had C-section, I read from somewhere which said that subsequent attempts to get pregnant is tougher. I guess it could also be due to age and fear of having #2 earlier. A cousin had emergency C-section after many hours of labour. Now she has fears of having #2.

Some women are fertile and their worry is getting pregnant (like myself).

Hi guys, I need some advice.

I have 2 boys, the elder one due to be in P1 in 2012 and a younger son that is 4 yrs his junior. We stay in Pasir Ris and within 1km of Whitesand (confirmed) and Pasir Ris Pri (Pending Confirmation but likely). I’ve decided to PV for Pasir Ris so I can qualified for both Phase 2B and 2C.

Hubby’s Alma Mater is St Gabriels in Hougang which I can get my boy in for phase 2A, my parents in law will be staying in Seng kang soon and if need be, we can move to somewhere near the school.

But my problem now is, I’m not impressed at all with the academic results of St. Gabs. both Pri and Sec. But its the stigma of a missionary school opposing that of a neighbourhood school kind of decision. But I must say I’m pretty happy about Pasir Ris’s results but what if my son cannot perform and can’t get into a good sec school. I would like to hear some views and opinions.
