His $$ is yours, your $$ is still yours.
      Correct?
I think the SCB FD deal is decent lah
PS: I am not working in or for SCB.
End of the day, the money is still within the family and more likely than not, my children will enjoy, not us.

As an existing priority SCB customer, one already enjoy a slightly higher int rate.

The $1000 TAKA vouchers too attractive!

Can use child's name to sign up or not? Or must be at least 18 years old?

Caught by surprise the need to queue up for more than 1hr at HLF yesterday, usually no queue with one row of staff waiting for clients to walk in.

Decided to go for their 1.99% p.a for a 18-month FD. Took out my FD which just matured but was only offered 1.97% p.a as my funds were not fresh funds. I had to deposit the collected funds in POSB next door then come back again on Tue to open the FD. :stupid:
              http://www.hlf.com.sg/personal/promotions/201512-fixed-deposits.html
My experience of waiting time at HLF is alwys longer than some other banks ...even when there are only few customers, also take a long time...

Am also eyeing at the 1.99 %... But havent decide to go for 13 mth or 18 mth...since the difference is so little..would prefer to take up a shorter tenor...

Talking abt free gifts fr HLF, i still hv some sitting in the store room...untouched...

As for fresh funds condition...to avoid the trouble of making 2 trips...
i usually exchange cheque with my hub...he issues me a cheque to my name ... So it would be considered as fresh fund...

Lee_yl I can't shut my mouth anymore la. You are way too much. You already have at least one priority account with your hubby's $, can't even let him have one FD under his name arh...can wait till the FD matures then transfer mah

I don't believe in married men having too much spare cash on hand. We do have joint FDs lah.[/quote]Meant as joke only la ๐Ÿ˜‚ I must learn. Too trusting.
