        Hi P1 & P2 parents,

Happened to be in school today. Managed to grab a quick bite at the canteen after their recess. Rice with chicken wings, soup with veg & fish ball & an hard boiled egg. πŸ™‚ I bet food is sufficient just that some popular items may run out faster than others.

I was actually more worried if they have time to queue & eat due to the increase of students. Nonetheless,
my 2 boys (P2 & P3) had no problem buying food since day 1 even though the younger one had a later recess. They mentioned that queue is indeed longer but still managed to have enough time to finish their food. Heard that 4 stalls were made available to serve the children.

        - Drink stall
        - Dian Sum stall
        - Malay stall (spilt into 2 stalls)

The school is pretty strict in their choice of food i thought. That's what I heard from the vendor last year

Food - no deep fried food
        Nasi Lemak - white rice
        Fruit available everyday
Drinks liked Milo, Fruit juice, yogurt drink & water only.
Ice cream & packet snacks aren't allowed.

Hope the info will ease the anxiety of some parents. Have fun!

          P3 parents,

How are your kids adapting so far?
My boy had fun with the 3 Science Teachers doing (Art/Environmental & Science) today! πŸ™‚

Better to hear from our kids what they have for recess and make our own judgement.

              Hi, Yorkie,

Thanks for sharing that article on Whizmeal. It is an interesting concept and I am just learning about it!

              Hi, Boorie22,
Yes, like what other parents already shared, I also agree that most of the teachers at ALPS are really passionate in what they do. They truly care and make an effort to reach out to our children. My child is in Primary 3 this year and she has been loving school. To think that this comes from a child who is avoidant in natures speaks volumes about the school....

              Hi, mysweetlittlethings,
My girl is in Softball! She enjoyed herself last Friday. She loves the spaghetti from the Malay stall. Last Friday, spaghetti was sold out once again! :yikes: Like what you say, there are still other types of food, like Mee Goreng. But my girl is a fussy eater... So, rather than choosing Mee Goreng at the Malay stall, she would re-queue at the Snack stall for Chee Chong Fun! :slapshead:

Despite everything, there is always something good that comes out of it. πŸ˜‚ Because of the double queue, she has learnt to be double quick in her decision-making and in eating her food! Ha ha ha..... :heresmyfish:
