Attend the Sec 1 Parent Symposium next Sat (23 January 9 am) - there will be opportunity to join the class whatapp group for parents. A class list will be passed around for parents to write down their phone numbers and the 1P2 parent representative will organise the chat group after that.

There will also be a talk on the Parent Support Group (PSG) where parents can find out more about the activities in the class & school and get to meet some of the teachers in charge. I am very happy to say that ProEd PSG is very active among the consortiums.

It depends on your budget. In Sec 1, they usually bring it to school for Project Work, powerpoint presentations for EL or to work on other projects as a team. The boys often use it to compile notes & then share it through Google Docs. They don't need to bring it to school every week but several times in a term.

My boy uses ASUS brand but some kids like the MacBook - which is very cool but there are compatibility problems when they work on Infocomm projects (web design, basic programming) and may have problems opening up files & documents from the teachers.

Noticed that EMB was down. So called the school, and was informed that they’re in the process of setting up new EMBs for parents and for students.
