To say the teachers of HA class not having to teach much is really a great transgression and giving a slap to the teachers for teaching their kids. Ungrateful parents, to say the least

We might have different experiences here. Your child(ren) might have been blessed with good teachers. We are grateful to teachers who do their best, but that's not to say all the teachers do so. Chill, there's no need to blast parents as ungrateful just because we say some teachers do not \"teach much\".

I think as in any class, there are decent and not-so-good teachers. I don't think its limited to any particular school or class. We have had experiences with both very good & responsible teachers as well as not-so-good ones in the school.

Teachers are also human and as in any organization, I'm sure there are good & not-good workers. Similar bell curve in action here. Anyway, I am sure the HOD's, Principal & MOE would have a ranking system to gauge how well the teachers do.

As for parents, just hope that the teachers in your kids' classes are alright & give constructive feedback if not & try to support in other ways, eg. tuition or enrichment etc etc.

Competition and stress level shoot up only if the child

is expected to be top in class.

No doubt some kids are competitive by nature, but most of
the times, it's the parents giving such stress to the children.
Agree agree! When DD was in P3 HA class, I never see her stress....but she never top also lah :rotflmao: πŸ˜‰

Hi, does anyone know if attending Advanced Math lessons conducted in school after normal school hours can be considered a CCA? My ds is trying to complete the testimonial template given by the school. Thanks.

Yah, they can go TLL to figure out by themselves. Heard about the HA classes' teachers do not teach much here too.

Last year NYPS broke all records for PSLE. A big part of it was due to the hard work of its staff and volunteer parents coming together as one to support the P6 students academically, emotionally and logistically.

The school made a few tweaks in its programmes to aid as many students as possible to meet their potential for the PSLE exams. In fact, many teachers (GE, Meta, HA, MA) and parent volunteers stayed back after sch to support the kids during their preparations for PSLE.

Though there's no guarantee that the school will hit the same heights this year (T-score invariably depends on the difficulty of the papers), let's give credit when credit is due.

Hi iRabbit, how many % scored 250 and above and what was the average t-score for last year's psle batch?

I heard from a friend that it was shared during ptm, 40.8% of raffles primary scored above 250. Average t score is 241

Wonder how these 2 top schools are comparatively...

                    Hi,bgmum.

Thanks for the reminder. πŸ˜„ I read in the GE handbook that it is an enrichment course.I rhink no harm listing it . DS said that FT will do the amendment if necessary.(testimonials).

Hi I was wondering, do we get a card or a cert to show that we are Nanyang Sch Alumni after our membership and accepted?

Today got the ISO cert (didn't really expect it). Are we supposed to include that in the template?
