Think the admin of this thread should add ALPS to the survey at the top.

With the start of the new year, parents with children born in 2010 will be registering their kids for next year’s intake. As a parent of a kid who is now in P1 of ALPS, I must say I am satisfied with the school so far in terms of pace of homework and school communication.

P1 homework - hardly any at least for my boy’s class. But i do know some other classes have daily homework.
Communication - Parents of P1 kids were given a 2 day briefing at the start of the school and we were introduced to the classrooms that our kids will be in and the subject teachers. The teachers responded to emails within 3 days but there are some who went the extra mile of sharing hp numbers.
Students - I do find that the students are generally very well behaved. Not rowdy. Maybe because they only have up to P3 now.

Overall, my son likes the school and he enjoys it. Every morning, he will be worried if he is late for school and the moment we drop him off at the gate, he will make a 100m dash to the school hall. I am glad to see his eagerness in going to Primary school.

Just some feedback for parents who are registering in Bukit Merah area this year.

Hi! Double E mummy, thanks for the update. May I Know any good student care centre in Bukite Merah area could recommend to us? Understand that in house student care centre slot is priority for low income family.

        :thankyou:

Hi, I would like to join this thread and I’m interested in ALPS. I’m staying near but unfortunately not near enough to ALPS (slightly more than 2km). My MOP is due in July and that makes purchasing a resale unit within 1km impossible to execute at this point in time. I can only think of renting but 30-mth rental period is very long. Frankly whichever school my kids go to we will have to move. It’s just where and when to move and whether we can sustain for 30 months?

Anyone facing the same situation as me? Is APLS really good?

ALPS will be hosting 200 parents for a dialogue session with school leaders and a short tour of Alexandra Primary on 5 July 2016. This is for parents interested in registering their children for Pri 1 in 2017. For more details and registration for the event, please see the homepage (under Announcements) of the school website at https://alexandrapri.moe.edu.sg.

Not considering the distance, which school is the best school in Bukit Merah? I believe in the general trend of on the ball parents = decent kids = decent peers for my kids = kids become decent, and chwee parents = chwee kids = chwee peers for my kids = kids become chwee. Which school will on the ball parents park their kids in?

Hi. I am also checking if anyone has any feedback on CPS? Or if they have open house for parents registering their children?

                    Thanks!
