One-way is $80 for my nursery kid on minivan. Observed that the seat sits 3 kids but I insist seatbelt for my boy as his journey is about 40min and last one to get off the schoolbus.

I used to pay $160 two ways for my son’s minivan school bus from Tampines to Siglap but stopped when they increased the price yet again and I my 2nd son was ready for childcare. It made more practical (safety) and economical sense to send them to and from school myself as $170 x 2 =$340 and I rather use that money to pay for 1mth petrol for the car instead.

$160 ?! :!: At that rate, it should come with movies, drinks, fully reclinable beds, and a personal concierge to pick up your kid right from your doorstep.

              Heyya libra_leo,

If the distance between home and ctr justifies the
amount paid, i'd say yes, it will be worth it..

Just calculate, if you were to send your child to and
fro by bus and by taxi, two persons expenditure via
              public transport.

With transport, there's the convenience factor...
and plus for my girls i noe for sure rain or shine
they'll be there on time. Even if it rains tho, the
kiddies dun get wet. If i were to send my kiddies
on a rainy day, by the time we reach ctr all of us
are wet from knees down. So, must bring shoes
and socks in plastic bag. Umbrellas and raincoats.
Then, must make sure schoolbag doesn't get wet.
Reach ctr change the slippers to shoes then on the
way back i'll get double wet with my other kiddie
              in tow.

              Measure the pros and cons...
If it works for you, it works..
              Works for me so far..
However, in my case i find its super value for $$$,
never had to pay more than $50 for trpt service
              πŸ˜„

:?: i need to find transport for my boy and nephew who will be attending child care. the school has transport at 4.30 to send home. but it will be too early to send the 2 boys back to my mum house as she need to cook. so i wonder any contacts for mini van to pick them up at abt 5.30 - 6.30?

                  I'm paying $420 per term.

Pick up Punggol, school at Pasir Ris, drop off Hougang (drop off is flexible, sometimes drop off at Punggol).

Bus is a medium sized bus, 24 seater. All kids have their own seats and seat belt.

There's a TEACHER on the bus, not those 'auntie'.
Most of the time (at least 90%), the principal tags along the school bus too.

Feedback from my boy is that they sing songs during the journey.
I see my boy well-behaved on the bus (very worried that he will refuse to listen to instructions and run about).

My friends say that $420 a term is rather high. However, with the distance and the flexibility (in changing drop off location) plus the teacher on board the bus, I think it's worth it. No complains πŸ™‚

And they are very careful. The first time my dad went to pick my boy up (cos my maid was busy washing something), they actually called me on my HP to verify before allowing my dad to bring my boy up. Once, my maid was stuck at embassy because of her passport and my parents were overseas, no one to pick him up. I had to ask my bestie (she stays a few levels below my parents) to help me, I SMSed the teacher to inform them and they asked me to MMS a pic over or they'll call me to verify again.

For those privately owned cc, can request them to give some rebates on the school fees to offset the bus transport expenses. πŸ˜‰

Hai! I'm new in this forum.

I having big headache of thinking to transfer my present 2 kids both in N2 & K1 to transfer to another childcare centre at CCK as I almost comb thru CCK, Yew Tee & Bukit Panjang childcare centres and the no bus is willing to come to ferry my 2 kids thru & fro to my farm house in Sungei Tengah, Old Choa Chu Kang Road. I know this is a rural area which very difficult to get bus BUT do you have any idea of any bus driver willing to pick my children to school everyday? πŸ™

My niece and nephew are looking for a transport to send them from childcare in Pasir Ris o Hougang in the evening. Apparently, the childcare bus operator does not want to go beyong Pasir Ris.

Anyone know any contact that will be willing to provide this service?

                        Thanks
                        JC
