Next year, they can also choose Eunoia JC

      question is :
will St Nick Secondary school girls prefer to choose Eunoia JC, over choosing RI / Hwa Chong / and Nanyang JC (middle Tier JC), gaining climbing popularity ?

Eunoia JC will be at Mt Sinai Rd for the next 4 years, so location is a factor.

MOE is right about NYJC is gaining popularly and it being among the Top JCs now.
In short, NYJC Caring Culture and its Commendable Academic Achievement is similar to St Nicks' school environment.
That's why more St Nicks girls are choosing NYJC.

Wah, so the competitor to Eunoia JC next year for A level intake, is Nanyang JC

If demand for Eunoia JC weaken next year for 2017 A level intake, because of the inconvenient Mount Sinai / Ghim Moh /Buona Vista location, will Eunoia JC take in weaker O level candidates quality, just to fill up the remaining vacancies, for her pioneering first batch of candidates taking 2018 gce A level, for the very first time in this new JC ?
            (quite worrying)

RI only around 200-250 JAE students each year, it apply HCI as well. So I don't think Eunoia JC will take more students from JAE. And also JAE students A level results will not affect the whole JC academic result much more as it has all the good students from three schools. I think Sngs girls will make the wise choice for their future. That is my personal thinking.

During a recent PTM, P of Eunoia JC mentioned that the school is planning for subsidised transport pickup arrangements from various MRT stations directly to the mt sinai campus in the mornings. The JC starting time would also be later, at 8 am. Hope this is some form of relief to some sngs and chs students considering Eunoia JC.

EJC will probably only have abt 200++ JAE places as the 3 IP schools intake is abt 450+.
So cop should be quite low as JAE places limited. Also, the EJC is so called 'Branded' compared to NYJC, I think.
Putting academic results and the Branded status aside, other factors to consider will be:
                  - caring culture
                  - willing to consider and hear the needs of its students
                  - conducive campus
                  - EJC will have cliques from IP schools, some may prefer to start new

Oh, this is a very thoughtful gesture, from Principal of Eunoia JC.

Placing subsidised transport arrangement at various Mrt station (instead of only at Buona vista mrt station), transport the students directly to Mount Sinai campus, is much more convenient.
                    This is a wise plan

At 4 years back, everyone knew the new school will be started at 2017. Now the new school will be delayed that is why the transport will be provided.

For Upper Sec 3 O level track students (non IP), how do they allow students to select Sec 3 subject combination ?

Is it take the results at end of Sec 2, rank them by subject, then allow those students strong in that subject, to continue take in Sec 3 ?

                        example
Ranked by subject Physics : only those who did well in end of Sec 2 physics Paper, allowed to continue take Pure physics in Sec 3

                        Or

Ranked by subject Chemistry : only those who did well in end of Sec 2 Chemistry Paper, can continue to proceed with Sec 3 Pure Chemistry ?

So if don’t do well in Chemistry at end of Sec 2 : can’t take Chemistry in Sec 3 ?
                        Is it like this ?
