What is L1R5?

How about CLEP?
-
I think must include 1 of the humanities into the calculations too…

:!: :!: Ermmmm, is that sound advice :?
If you pass HMT at 'O' Level, there is no need to take MT when in junior college. The time saved can be used to do other things or dating (!!)KSP:
Any advantage in taking HMT for O level?
How are the points calculated for A level to qualify for local Uni?
Even if you got A1 at CL2 at 'O' Level, u still need to do CL2 in junior college -
Just to elaborate further on the info provided by verykiasu2010.
The R5 \"Relevant 5 subjects\" must include:
one science/maths subject
one humanities subject
one science/maths or humanities subject
any other two subjects
So one can score very well in all his maths and science subjects but if he gets a bad grade in his humanities subject, he must still include it in the L1R5 computation (that's what happened to me many yrs back
) -

KSP, taking HMT at O level and getting a pass in it will grant the student 2 bonus points. That's valuable!

thanks for the elaboration. that is why the need for a \"contrasting\" subject, and in schools like SCGS, Lit is compulsory !Just to elaborate further on the info provided by verykiasu2010.

however some parents prefer to short cut it by dropping HMT at P5 !
MOE's proposal to reduce weightage for MT at PSLE is hotly debated on another thread now -

How about CLEP?
what about CLEP ? It is at JC level and is only offered at a few JCs : TJC, NYJC, HCI, JJC & DHS, pertaining to Chinese Language
this is not to be confused with the new Bicultural program starting at secondary level offered by only HCI, DHS & NYGH with leadership component
(this is my understanding, I may be wrong, info may be incomplete) -
