Why my animated avatar is not moving?

Quite a number of us has encountered this issue before. Found a great animated picture, but after uploaded as avatar, it is not no longer animated.

The most likely cause is that the original animated picture is larger than the allowed dimension for avatar here, which is 120x120 pixel. The forum software will automatically resize for you when you upload a picture larger than 120x120, but due to the limitation of the forum software, the resized picture is of a still image format, thus no longer animated.

Special software are required to re-size animated picture. There are some free online software that would resize animated picture, eg http://www.online-image-editor.com, however the quality of the resulted picture from some of these online editor may not be as good as the original. Google \"online resize animated\" for a whole long list of them.

Another way is to post your original picture at http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9693 and I'll help you resize it.

HOW-TO post a video in forum

That is a very good question and I do not know what is the best way.

One common way is to upload the video to a hosting website like youtube, tinypic.com, etc and post the link here

the search engine in this forum isn't specific. i have the same problem too, even when i specify clearly what i want. i think it's a problem with the forum \"setup\" so it may not be possible to \"enhance\" it easily.
