With the new P on board, any change in the direction of the school?

Btw do any of your kids feedback about the security guard of the school? I witnessed one shouting at one of the students who entered the school in non-uniform. I tot that's unnecessary.

May not be a security guard...I knew of one estate/maintenance(?) staff who is really rude.

I think I know who you are saying.

It's security guard I'm sure. I've been to the sch on quite a few occasions and can recognize the regular faces.

Just curious, what are the CCA that require more participation from the students?[/quote]I think those uniform groups and sports (2 x a week). Especially if there are competitions and trainings for competitions, you get to miss your lessons and you have to arrange for make up lessons after that.

Various interest groups too, especially if you are in EXCO of the interest groups and Student Council, almost all the activities are planned and organised by the students. E.g. Open House, DSA Preview, Outreach programmes for primary school students, Einstein Club, etc.

Can be very busy, especially if you join CCAs that require heavy involvement, membership in multiple interest groups, participation in Olympiads, etc. 😓

iLabbit wolly about long hours at school?

Actually iirc, there’s hardly any short day after Y1. Somehow they will manage…perhaps they complete most of their schoolwork during those in between lessons breaks.

I'm quite happy to let ds experience long hrs in the IP. With DSA season round the corner, it gets serious for the P6ers.

The unusual thing with NUSH is that based on gothere.sg, it takes 12 min by car but a lengthy 40 min by bus (need to transfer). I wonder if there's a better way if ds enrols there next year.

                12 mins is very optimistic!
Traffic on clementi rd can be pretty heavy throughout the morning and commonwealth ave west is quite unpredictable.
How many change of buses do you need from your place?

                    Hi,

ds, year 2, wants to change his humanities sub from art to music. Is it possible? Told him to check with the school.
Thanks for sharing if you know about it!
