      Pen88n:

Nowadays, an O level cert will not get anywhere too, so it really doesn't matter that the IP route has no O level cert. But maybe the O level \"more hand-holding\" and \"more foundation drilling\" suits some kids better and assist them to build better foundation going forward, vs the self-learning project-based style of IP.
o level cert can't get far but at least safer having it compared to taking IP/IB route. no offence to those taking IP/IB though. IP route is really not easy because the syllabus requires an independent learner.

Will schools give talks to parents to let us know the pros and cons for IP and IB programmes? Looks like a lot of us are still a bit confused on the exact details, except it is a 6 years through train.

I think it will be a good idea to attend the IP n IB schools' Open House (once u have narrowed down your choices). Also do take note of the different school fees that are being charged.

My dd received the SA1 examinable topics and format letter when she was having her CA exams. I could not believe my eyes and just filed them away. I guess I must take out them now and read them.

Do you have a rough gauge on the fees structure? I only heard around $300 a month for IP schools.
