Actually Qifa is not that bad. It was founded by Char Yong Hakka Association and I wanted to put my son there previously. There were quite a few Chinese Mainland pupils there as it is not a very popular school. My son did not go to Qifa because we shifted.

I suggest you go down to the schools to take a look. I went down and it is in an estate surrounded by terrace houses, quite quiet. Try to think far ahead, like transportation, accessibility etc. Perhaps you would like to consider your child’s ability too.
Fairfield’s Mathematics is very difficult. I know because I used to tutor a P3 girl in Math and Chinese. Nanhua’s Chinese standard is higher but their Math paper is easy.

I put my child in a neighbourhood because I feel that he would be able to cope with the demands of school work.

My 2 girls are born in 2010 too. I will ballot for Aitong because it is nearest my home. If they cannot get in, I will go to their korkor’s school because there should be surplus seats available.

There will be schools with places available. MOE/ schools will advise you if you fail phase 2C. Just that the schools may not be near your homes. Don’t worry.

just curious what will happen if 2C failed go 2Cs and still failed 😮

MOE will ask you to nominate a few schools (that still have vacancies after P2CS) you would like your child to be posted to. In the event that parents do not want to nominate, MOE will post the child to a school nearest to the residential address (which may be kilometres away).

Hi everyone, i need some advise here…

My 3rd daughter will have a choice between RGPS and SCGS, since her elder sister used to be a RGPS girl and her second sister is currently studying in SCGS. So we are lucky to have 2 choices.

My thoughts of RGPS is more academic driven, competitive and highly stressed. SCGS is less pressure and students are happier, though academically not as competitive.

What is your opinion on both the schools? Given a choice which one will you choose?

Since you have first hand experience with both schools, you should be the one telling us your opinions on both school :scratchhead:

Also, you should be in the best position, given your prior encounter with both schools, to consider your 3rd daughter strengths / preferences to figure out which school fits her better.

I am curious. Why do u choose to put yr 2nd DD in SCGS and not RGPS? How did your 2nd DD got into SCGS?

I do not know which school to enrol my daughter… 1st time enrolment. She turning p1 in 2017. I fall under 2c phrase.

I am staying at my dad hse which is 0.24km Nan chiau primary, 0.24km to anchor green and 0.50km to springdale
My new flat is in sk, ready by Apr 2019. which address do i need to use? in view the MOE says 2yrs got to stay the flat
Based on the my new address, 0.43km nan chiau,0.3km to anchor green and 0.34km to Springdale
                Which school should I choose?

                  Hi,

I just join the group, and have intention to enrol my boy to PeiYing Primary school or Naval Base Primary school.

Any parent putting their special needs kid to PeiYing or Naval Base?
Are the Allied Educator provide good support?
Which school provide better program for the kid, and the environment ok?
Appreciate you could share your experience with me.

The nearest school to my house is Naval Base, both are within 1-2km, and my boy is a PR.
So I think will fall into Phase 2C or Phase 2C Supplementary.

                        Need some advice.....

Staying at sengkang, nearest school around are Fernvale and sk green , both are within 500m. Hoping to enrol to sk green but looking at the balloting history it is very stressful and the chances is like 50/50. Although birth rate for the year of tiger is lower but is still hard to judge as there are too many new Pr/ foreign residents.

Another way is to enrol for affiliated school under phrase 2B , but it is at bishan/amk. Always traffic congestion along the way and my kid has to wake up much earlier compared going to a nearby school. But if I dun try to enrol for phrase 2b and fail to enrol to sk green, which means will fall under 2Cs or go to Fernvale. I only prefer to go sk green instead.... shd I take go for phrase 2b which means my kid has less time to rest and more traveling time or should I just take the risk to ballot??? Maybe I'm one of the lucky ones....

We are SC, does it means we stand a higher chances and first priority will goes to us first instead of PR?

                        Headache... please advise
                        hi hi Minnieteo,

same as me, SKG and fernvale is like within 500M from my hse. .I gave up the idea totally after my bestie DD didn't get into SKG after 2C n 2C supplement. .she had to rush to fernvale Pri, lucky manage to get in at 2C supplement. .

gonna throw my DS into SAJS at potong pasir thru 2A(2) via his dad old boys. .close eyes n don't see. .
