For piano, a candidate must pass grade 5 theory before he can take higher grade practical exam. For ballet, is there such a requirement as well at any of the higher grades (after grade 5) : for example, must pass grade 5 before allowed to take IF grade?

Pre-requisites are only at vocational grades:
Advanced Foundation - Need to pass \"Intermediate\"
Advanced 1 - Need to pass \"Intermediate\"
Advanced 2 - Need to pass \"Advanced 1\"
Solo Seal - Need to have distinction for \"Advanced 2\"

at SBA (Waterloo street, nearest MRT : Bras Basah MRT station) -
don't see any more timetable schedule after RAD Grade 5 level.
(schedule only show from 4 year old, up to Grade 5)

so after Grade 5 at SBA, what can they girls learn ?

After grade 5, the girls will advance to grade 6 or vocational grades. Usually, most ballet schools does not take in new students for higher grades hence the time tables are not been published.

Hi am new to ballet and my coming to 4 yr old girl is requesting for us to sign her up for ballet classes. Does anyone have any suggestions for me? Am staying in the east and only able to commit to weekend classes. Thanks.

First decide if you want to sign her up for ballet schools (more expensive but class size is smaller) or at CC (cheaper but class size is much bigger) to drill down your focus.

One of my friends asked me \"Passing marks for ballet is only 40 (out of 100 i.e. 40%), versus 100 (out of 150 i.e. 66.7%) for piano. So does that means ballet is easier to learn and excel as compared to piano? And in ballet, you hear a lot of girls getting more than 90 marks, but a >140 marks in piano is simply remarkable\"...
