W.e.f 2016, 100% of the places are offered via the DSA-Sec Exercise, no longer 95%.
Nush open house is tomorrow. You can visit the school and ask. Heard that new uptake of students will be by DSA only.bluemom:
Hihi
My DS also want to apply for NUSH but don't know how to prepare. Has been asking ard but everyone seems to be very secretive abt it n become evasive abt DSA tis topic. I m so sad abt it.
Can someone here help please? As how I shld help my DS to prepare
If there is still vacancy after the DSA-Sec Exercise, a Supplementary Intake Exercise will be opened on 1 November 2016 and closed at 10 am on the third day of the release of the PSLE results. -

Go to their website and see what's required. To what I know, after application, students will need to take a written test.bluemom:

After the written tests, selected students will need to attend a camp at NUSH for some hands-on experiments.
After the camp, students will be offered a place, either a Confirm Offer or under waiting list, some need to attend interviews.
Based on DSA experience 3 years ago :
Math selection test was \"NMOS standard\".
For DSA camp, applicants were asked to carry out experiments, take down their observation.
The experiments are usually very \"innovative\" so there is nothing much for you to prepare.
Hope this helps. -
Do DS hv to read up secondary sch science?
-
It will be good if he reads up and is able to apply the concepts.
-
Is selection test compulsory?
I heard the IMSO finalists will get COs automatically.
Other than that, any other category that no need to take written test? -

There is currently a supplementary intake exercise for students using their PSLE results, no? Sorry I am not able to understand what the change is... -
Gxmas:
In the past, 90% of the 170 vacancies will be via DSA, the remaining 10% will be via PSLE result. Now it is changed to 100% via DSA. The supplementary intake now I believe is for the vacancies that are not taken by the students who are given confirmed offer.
