http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum ... &start=320In this special year, I believe all of us won't visit overseas any more so we may think it's normal or even extra bonuses for the kids.
I remember someone talked about a dedicated DSA related thread, could anyone give me a link as I did search around but got nothing? -

yup...this very special year, many of us won't be going overseas. daughter's principal discouraged any holidays until PSLE is over.In this special year, I believe all of us won't visit overseas any more so we may think it's normal or even extra bonuses for the kids.
if you are the one planning weekly schedule...seeing how fast time passes week after week, it's really very scary. when i first started in january, i could still scroll down my 'documents' page in the PC.
last night, i told the kids we will go for a sumptuous buffet when son is done with his O levels. -

Yes, my 2 kids was recollecting the happy holiday moments in DH's car last night... stressed to them again no June holidays as DS is taking PSLE.. so have to wait till Dec. They understand though they really look forward to the holidays break.

it's starting to get stressful...have to try to complete as many science topics as possible and revise others. month of june is almost filled up, with work.

Am I the only one not started any revisions at all, not even SA1…
Cham lah, starting to get worried now but my kid still in lalaland. Honestly wanted to ask if any kids can get by well enough simply by being diligent with schoolwork? -

my revision is not entirely because of SA1...it's to keep daughter's brain working and remember older topics. if not, she would be capable of forgetting everything. she dislikes 'wordy' topics...but can't help it because 'web of life' topic requires lots of memory.Am I the only one not started any revisions at all, not even SA1......

I applaud mums for being so proactive here. I realized it takes two hands to clap. Even if parent is willing, kid is unwilling to start revision (citing so many other activities or distractions etc). I am just hoping the school will do a good job here with the tons of practices which can serve as good revisions. Not aiming for top scores but not aiming for bottom scores either, just something that kid can achieve given limited time and effort.

For the smart kids, yes. The primary school syllabus is not that difficult to grasp for them and they can handle it. If your kids' test average scores are in the eighties (for languages) or high eighties to nineties (for maths and sci), you probably can relax a little more. Just my personal opinion.Am I the only one not started any revisions at all, not even SA1......

it really takes 2 hands to clap...while i may be the one who plan schedules...if my kid is not willing to cooperate, i can't do anything.
take this week for eg, she has NAPFA 5 item test after school. on top of that, she still has 2 days of supplementary lessons. -
good to know that cos my kid spends more time in sports and dance (5x a week) than homework. I just hope that my kid can be balanced in her time commitment towards academic and non-academic.
