      Hi Parents,

I would like to know is there any chance for child to transfer from other primary school to Nanyang? Usually how to do that and Nanyang will select base on academic result? or CCA program? How can i get this information? Thanks a lot!

        phtthp:
If your son cannot do P3 Tests, then go back to attempt P2 Test papers.

Ascertain precisely at which level papers he is comfortable at.

Because should Nanyang primary decide to give chance, admit your son -
School will give him a level, in which he is comfortable in.
Not let him come in join the school, only to struggle all the way through.
This is not what the school want.
They want your son to be confident, able to cope at that particular level.

Also, because your son is now P3 -
He is Not enrolling for P1 admission, so this alumni thing doesn't apply.
Because alumni Phase 2A1 only applicable during P1 registration time.

School will now assess your P3 son -
Together with the same pool of children, waiting inside the waitlist, seeking Transfer for P3 admission. Thus, is competitive.

The children waiting to seek Transfer into Nanyang include :-
        - kids who were balloted out during P1 registration,
        - kids who had applied for Transfer from other primary schools,
        - younger siblings of (P4 to P6) GEP students.

In offering Transfer to successful candidates -
Besides looking at past academic results, school may also evaluate other aspects of character traits (eg : talent, leadership skill, CCA skills, oratorical skills), Sg / Pr child.
I would like to know more about how to transfer to nanyang. How they select? and any priority given to particular group of candidate? For example, those who were balloted out during P1 registration? Those staying within 1km?? Thanks.

Got, GEP. Definitely can try to transfer to Nanyang when get into GEP. But not all who choose Nanyang will get it. It is based on MOE allocation. But good chance.

            Hi,

Any parents with kids in NYPS Ballet CCA? Any comments? How do I register my girl in it if she is keen? Does my girl need to pay for lessons? She is currently P2 and have been taking ballet with external ballet school. Would appreciate any advise. :thankyou:

I don't think there's Ballet CCA in the school. There is Chinese Dance, though.
You can check out the list of CCA's here:
              http://www.nanyangpri.moe.edu.sg/nanyan ... department

You can probably go during the CCA times below and check it out. The teachers-in-charge will also likely be there for you to get more details.
