Hi, I’m Mom to a p3 girl. Can anyone advise if it’s normal that our kids results "deteriorate" as they advance? My dd used to get over 90% for all subjects in p1 & 2. But for this SA1, she’s been getting 80+% for all the papers… am I being paranoid?

Yes, it is normal. Paper difficulty varies, format of paper may vary too. And the topics included definitely varies.

Rather than looking at the grade, it’ll be good to look at where she has misconceptions, or what questions did she not fully understand. Interestingly, it is usually the phrasing of the questions that students fail to understand.

P1 registration coming… parents with kids in NYPS, can you provide a overview of how you feel about your kids there? Any regrets or re considerations if given another chance?

My girl is in P2. So far so good. I am happy that my girl doesn't have alot of homework and seems to be coping well without tuition. The kids in her class are very cooperative and harmonious and teachers are good. So I am grateful.
