Don't worry Janet. I think all parents can relate to how you are feeling. We are WITH you. The kids are all oblivious to the approaching SA1 and how little time they have left till they sit for it. Sigh! 🤷

so embarrassing to rant when there are also parents with kids taking PSLE.
next tue 1.6km run...but there is no supplementary as p4s are having oral...whew!

Janet, I did secretly hope that our dds are taking psle in the same year. See you updating will make me feel the heat, which is good to me.

        Mrskiasu,

I was at popular yesterday to pass time…happened to meet 2 mummies looking at science assessment titles…their daughters are also sitting for PSLE. Looks like we are the worried ones but kids are oblivious to what is ahead.

I always asked .. :Am I to kiasu or kancheong?\" Cos I do not remember my parents fussing AT ALL for my PSLE and I did well to go to a SAP school...

Ya, I think the levels of expectation, competition and pressure were not so intense then as today. We may not have made it so easily if we are in this generation. Actually, in the environment these days, our kids are already quite a resilient lot. The parents are also the product of the stressful environment. 🤷

I think buying assessment books provide a sense of security for parents. Feel more in control as if they are doing something to help their children.

At least that is my motivation for buying assessment books.... and then give away to my friend brand new because objective achieved liao :rotflmao:
