Daughter's math teacher informed me there are just a few topics not taught, so she will be giving out prelim math past year papers from end July. Science only left with 2 topics...so you tell me when prelim past year will be thrown out? Looked at my colorful calendar to see the remaining weeks left for May and countdown to PSLE...there is very little time.

If give 1 week break, math and science revision will finish in term 3 week 6. -

Son taking O levels...daughter PSLE. But my older one doesn't really give me much stress...but have to monitor he is not stressed and burnt out.
Your DS taking \"O\" levels and DS \"PSLE\"?? Wow... double stress!!!
So come October 4, I am done with PSLE...and done with O levels by nov 18...then comes PSLE results end Nov. -

Yeap....tomorrow will be last paper for DS's SA1. Will have short break, maybe a week or two, before the start of bite size home revision and practice papers on weekends...
But you're right, after tomorrow, the road to 'Rome' is more of less clear.

Yes....DS's SS draft need to be submitted by 19 May, and Final version on 27 May. He is ok with SS. Just need to make sure he does his SS on weekdays. Will try to keep weekends for minor revision and practice papers. Hopefully less homework from school...
I suppose we ourselves need small breaks as well. Plan to let DS watch The Illusionist, then Captain America movie.
Then it will be back to the study routine and practice papers...got to start small.
Been playing weekend soccer using an old ball with DS. Decided to get a new soccer ball. Will play short soccer sessions on weekends...max 45mins, short form of exercise, to let him sweat it out and to release his pent up energy... -

I think 3 or 14 days break is just a number. Impt thing is to immerse your dd during the break instead of letting her coop in the house. Bring her to movies, Universal studios, blading, swimming, whatever for the 3 days so that it's a total break from studies. Then when the break is over, she'll be refreshed enough to perform. That's what I think will work.

Yes, nothing beats sports for that adrenaline rush. DS said he nearly died doing that 1.6km napfa run last week.

I agree...it's true. Very little time. But we have no choice. I am telling myself that I will need to let my DS start to tackle the Prelim Papers during the June school holidays. Especially for Science and Maths. Just to kick start the slow momentum....

Or maybe even practise some SA1 papers of \"branded\" Schools just as a form of revision. I need to do this for my DS's Sc and M.... -
Won’t touch prelim papers until we have revised all the topics.
After her last paper, we plan to go on an eating spree…like ice cream, waffles, fried chicken…before we start revising. Yes, irabbit…to be totally immersed in fun and food. I will enjoy my time in KSP yakking. -

CCA stand down for the kids already. This means that they have an extra 6 hours + 2 hours (transport) free time every week.
One already used the time for more consultations and I have also slapped on an extra round of A Maths tuition. I still have not arranged anything yet cos I have been working till 10pm for last few weeks so not convenient to arrange anything yet. :evil: -

Yes, very true...it was my DS that really wanted to go down to the nearby park to play ball. He plays soccer during school recess everyday. So he wanted to continue the same on weekends. Something that he likes and happy about. -

Thanks iRabbit. I am also thinking along the same line. Just wanted to spread out the small breaks at different duration/period. Afraid to loose the momentum...
It is only 2 1/2 mths (excl month of May) to DS's Prelims in mid-Aug. Just want to utilise whatever time left efficiently and fruitfully.
