Ya, had to wake up at 6.15 am today. DD was on duty for 1 competitive sport and 1 science. My girl was excited to be RGS ambassador for Open House, filling up 4 roles today.
She made me wake up early and was in school this morning before 7am while I was hoping for weekend rest. -

Strange enthusiastic qns...... wow she din have that.
Did she get asked interesting questions by the parents? I recall the strange enthusiastic questions my dd was asked when she was at Open Houses in the past.
She did 3 rounds of sch tour for parents.
Qns : -
1. Why RGS does not have boarding house as what NYGH and RI have
2. Is RGS life stressful for students
3. How did you fare for PSLE and the scorecard
4. Which CCA are you taking
5. Do the teachers really teach
6. Are the students independent learners -

Q3..... Favourite question.[/quote]I asked some of these qns last year. The two girls I talked to shared their PSLE scores, their primary schools, their CCAs. They gave my DD a good dose of encouragement, advice, self-motivational tricks with much enthusiasm. DD really listened to them and took their advice to her heart. One conversation was more effective than many of my lectures at home.

question 3, not necessary.. all from academic route at least 26x , or GEP, Don't see a need to ask! :imcool:
What is most critical question, it should be: \"what make you happy in RGS or what are the things in RGS that makes you happy?\" :rahrah: :rahrah: :rahrah: -

It is pretty true one conversation with RGS girls was more effective than many of lectures by parents.zulu:

Heard that the CCA training in RGS are like 2-3 times a week... Is there any slacking CCA? -
Some of my daughter’s friends are from photography club and infocomms club. They have only one training per week. But prior experience are required to get into these clubs. For photography, candidates are assigned a task. They need to take a number of shots and submit photos within 2 hours of time. For infocomms club, candidates need to submit portfolios of past projects.

If I am not wrong, the members of the photography club are also mobilised to take photos and videos at school events, concerts organised by the performing arts CCAs and competitions. -

Which often means time spent at the rehearsals as well as the actual events.GreenA:
