Hi Picolo
You mentioned that your child is in K1. Has he settled down? Did the school uses the Jolly phonics and grammer as mentioned?
Thanks! -
Hi Parents,
My girl is now in Just Kids K2 Flexi (4 hrs/day) class, she has been there from playgroup to nursery to K1 and K2. The teachers there are nice and professional, just that some Chinese teacher(from China) dont know English, English teacher(Malay/Indian) don't speak Chinese, so grandparents got difficulties to communicate. But they are nice from cleaners, students, teachers to principal, they are all very friendly and greet everyone. My girl now greets everyone she always meets regularly from school, shops and even market...
This school is a 3 storey-building, (so prepare to CLIMB ALOT), I have been climbing for 3 yrs+.
They have quite strict inspection for HFMD and Chicken pox follow by handrub, my girl had one ulcer in her mouth which cause her unable to attend class for few days. Their class are separate according to different ages and hours they attend. Eg, K2 Flexi (4hrs), they break down to smaller groups like daisy and orchid.
Different teachers have different ways of teaching, eg when she is in K1, Ms Tan and Teacher Tay, they will pass message verbally for the students to go back and do some assignments without giving a time frame, just to observe how does the kids proceed in doing it and give feedback to us every term. (Assignment like collecting diff flowers, draw diff shapes, write our words with nut in them..).
Just Kids provides Gymkids, Abacus class, Speech and Drama in English and Chinese classes, which my child just have to stay back another 45mins to attend all the classes. She enjoys it and becomes very talkative and joyful, and with a little more encouragement to make her read library books regularly, she can speak and read English and Chinese very well. But when she brings back Abacus homework, I will have headache, have to check few pages of maths sums. (Now she can do maths like 888+888+888= 2664 like the way we did them in Primary school)
Overall, I love this school. -
jenniferjoey,
may i know how is their playgroup? possible timing-wise and price-wise?
do they have nursery flexi-hour too? possible timing-wise and price-wise?
TIA. -
Hi Jedamum,
I forget about the pricing for nursery, about 180++ to 200++, depends on working mother or not. (Subsidised by Government)
You try their website first for the timing... while I get the info for you when I send her to school on Mon.

Recently my mum is retiring and wanted to go back to malaysia for a long stay therefore she won't be able to look after my 5 years old son. So, out of no choice, I have to send him to a child care. But toward childcare, i really have no idea which to send to.
I'm now staying in Jurong West area. Have found a few child care and think that Just Kid Child Care Center in Jurong East is not bad, but saw bad comment about it. Can anyone share some experience with me, pls? Thanks.
