Where did she get info that this year PSLE is the 2nd most difficult?

If it's true, it's also good becos bell curve will be moderated.

I never realize DSA process is just as stressful as sitting for PSLE. If successful, it's worth the stress, but if unsuccessful, you still need to go PSLE stress?

I have walked through PSLE, O levels, A levels with my kids. Now my DD is going to the Uni n it's another 4 years of stress. Just can't wait for them to finish with our education system.

So for parents who have just started the exam journey, pls remember PSLE is not the end but just the beginning of stress for your children.

      Good luck to all.

      😄
Our worries for our kids...post all exams...whether they will get a good spouse, whether their kids will be healthy and whether they will live happily ...the list will just continue and now I understand why my mom says once you have kid (s), you will have a lifetime of worries. Sorry OT..

as a parent, the worries are endless. when mine here is done with her psle, her secondary school years will still be worrying…more subjects and longer school hours. just focus on this year for now.

I must admit I am worried about this ‘2nd hardest PSLE ever’ rumour. I wouldn’t want my child to come home from any paper with his confidence destroyed.

Some people think it’s good to have hard papers as it separates the superb from the good but I think it is unnecessary and demoralising at that young age.

I really wish that MOE or SEAB would clarify this because it has been on the main media and is causing a considerable stir.

Which year was the ‘hardest’ if this year is 2nd hardest?

Unless someone has seen the papers, how would they know it’s hard? Why was it defined hard?

Not going to care if urban myth says it’s the hardest paper in the history of PSLE. It’s not as if some sit for easier paper and others the harder one. As long as born in this year, have to do. Why suffer a psychological defeat before the paper even start?

Go n get the last 3 yrs papers
Diff kids feel differently, more like tricky
U think u got right easily but more to it actually
Kids who are careless may suffer more

2014 seems to have been a reasonable year - DS1 sat for PSLE that year- no killer papers…

Hence the relative lowering of the T-score for the whole cohort.

But yeah, no point being defeated even before the exam starts. Just prep the kids to do their best and not look back after that.

I wouldn’t count on DSA…unless I already have an offer in the bag like some do.

What do you mean \"an offer in the bag\"?
