      Poly route would be less stressful than JC...for one thing, tuition highly unlikely.

      I like the tuition highly unlikely idea. Already a big hole in my pockets

      son is taking pure bio...really a BIG hole in my pocket. fortunately the tutor is rather accommodating. if son has any doubts in physics or chem, tutor is also happy to help him. english tuition another big ticket.

        As someone who went through the JC route, I would say that JC will give your child the required exposure in academics and also the opportunity to explore interests beyond his acads. If your child has a goal in mind on what he wants his career path to be like, then I would say that the poly route would be much better as it will gear him towards his goals. Unlike in JC where we learn a bit of everything, in Poly, the students will be trained in their niche area and this can help them better in the future as they are likely to be more well versed in the area as compared to JC kids. Also, now that the government is supporting Poly education as well, going the poly route can also get you into a good local university.

        Hence, it is more of whether your child has made up his mind on what he wants to do in the future.
