Hi, we would like to send our girl to APS next year. We are staying 1-2km to APS and are SC. Anybody can advise the chances of getting a place in the school?

I think there will be a high chance to ballot even for SC in 1km, judging from past years registration trend, there was a constant increase of interests in AP, last year take up rate was just nice filled up all 200 slots within 1km for SC. So this yr better to prepare a 2nd choice sch

I only had heard about Alexandra Primary school today from my colleague who is all praises about this school as his daughter is a student.

I was so interested to find out more but sadly the registration is closed due to dateline.

I hope to go for the dialogue session to understand more about the school. is the headcount of 200 hit? can I please be allowed to attend the dialogue?

Didn't read through the posts in front, so I'm unsure if there's any sch staff responsible for answering the posts in this forum.
But I advise that you should contact the sch's directly (or even email to the sch leaders). At least, you can receive accurate and timely info.

Not sure if this has been asked. Does anyone have any info if Alexandra Primary is affiliated to any old primary schools which were previously from the area?

Or any idea if the previous Henderson Primary School is affiliated to any of the schools in Bukit Merah area?

ALPS is a new school so no affiliations.
Henderson Pri, is affiliated to Gan Eng Seng Pri, if remembered correctly. Recalled I saw it somewhere in a MOE site when I was checking a couple of years back on closed/merged schools. But best to confirm with Gan Eng Seng directly - can just call and check

Hi Everyone

I have created a FB group for parents of ALPS P1 of 2017 Facebook group. Welcome to join this group so that we can exchange info for our Tiger babies' P1 Journey in ALPS.
I got inspired to create this group as a kind mummy created one similar group last year for the P1 of 2016, it proved to be really useful, especially when we knew which class our kids would go to. Mummies started to report to the FB group on their kid's class and form their own chat groups. Hope this FB group that I created will serve the same purpose and is helpful to parents whose kids are joining the ALPS family in 2017.
