      Hi Trina !
I'm thinking of ACS(Junior) but most of the condos nearby are very pricey :PPP

Will renting help, if it's too expensive to buy ? I have a friend who rented near ACS Barker, and got his son into the school

that would be my last resort - though i think the rental there wld be just as high !!

happychick, I supposed in life something has to give, somewhere.

A good balance would be to buy somewhere cheaper than you can afford. Rent it out, and that rental income to offset the slightly higher rental expense. Financing that gap for 2 years or so, may still be more workable.

If you look hard enough, you can get reasonable rental within the area. I’m talking about the older apartments/flats.

          Hi Happychicks

Based on past years' statistics, you will need to ballot for a place at ACS(J). I agreed with Eagle-Ladybird that you may want to check out the older apts around the area. I had a friend who rented an apt that is due to on enbloc (hence cheap rental) and got his son a place at the school. Alternatively, you may want to consider other Methodist schools e.g. Fairfield which does not require balloting at phase 2B.

I think you can call them to check and go down to pick up the application letter.

Are u referring to the letter certifying that u qualify for 2B? Usually they give the letters quite late, less than a week before the 2B registration starts.

Or u mean the SHHK membership form? That one u can submit anytime.

I think she meant when to register with SHHK the interest in phase 2B.

I kept forgeting to call SHHK to find out during the day but managed to do so last week. brought necessary docs and submitted the registration form last week. the lady said can call SHHK 3 days before phase 2B registration date to check if I am issue the recommendation letter.
