there will be another 2 days holiday in August...9 aug national day & 10 aug school holiday.

Janet, I just checked - 8 Aug - ND celebrations so it's 1/2 day, 9 n 10 Aug - school holidays, so only study on thu n fri.

      Shiok!!!!

eve of ND usually is usually a 1/2 day.
we seem to be happier than the kids :rotflmao:

For me, the only impact of school holidays is the not having to wake so early. My younger girl is so busy that I’m not sure if I see more of her when it’s school term or holidays! She’s already lined up a full programme for the 2-4 July weekend including a sleepover at a friend’s house, and she’ll be very busy in the run up to N Day because she’s involved in the school celebration. I think I’ll mandate a "family" day on 9 Aug!

Slmkhoo, I agree with you. My DS (same age as your DD2) is always so busy that I hardly see him at home. So I also have to 'make an appointment' with him.

DD will be going to Uni soon so I won't get to see her too.

              😢

Yeah, plan to go back to work provided employers want to hire old workers like me.

Got to keep looking and something will turn up. But it may take time, and may not be so ideal. Still, something is better than nothing - I couldn't face sitting at home all day when the kids were out (and I don't watch serials).
