      B & C

      forestcadee:

Hi, need help on the following question. Thanks.

A boy was playing a football game. Which of the following body systems interacted together to enable him to play the game?

      A: Digestive system
      B: Circulatory system
      πŸ˜„ Respiratory system

      1) A & C only
      2) A & B only
      3) B & C only
      4) A, B & C

The answer is A,B and C. The functions of the 3 systems are continuous processes. They happen all the time throughout the day. Whether we are sleeping or playing, we need food to produce energy all the time and it is a continuous process. So the digestive system must work continuously even when sleeping. In fact we need more food when playing football than sleeping because more energy is needed. Therefore, the digestive system works harder when we are active.

If we have not had proper meals and engage in strenuous activities, we may faint because there is not enough food for the digestive system to transfer to the circulatory system. So we drink glucose, a form of digested food for immediate absorption into the circulatory system through the small intestines.
