It's not just the kids whose engine is slow in starting up after hols - I am too! Just can't seem to get going to supervise his revision.

daughter had no homework yesterday. i don't know what's in store ahead.

I see my gal doing papers and corrections everyday. I believe sch is gearing them up so no worries, they have plenty of revisions in school.

I didn’t ask my dd to attempt any mock papers. Wait for school teachers to load them.

Her school will exchange exam papers with other schools so there are more than enough mock papers for students to practice.

i have been doing thematic revision so far...didn't attempt mock papers because her school will definitely load them.

oral and listening compre prelim in mid july.

pace in school is picking up to finish the syllabus.

many of the school friends have gone for dsa and most of them have more or less decided on the school they want.

we are still undecided on ib or a levels.

last lesson for tuition will end just before psle, so need to keep an eye on the withdrawal date.

no tuition from oct onwards, kid so happy :rahrah: :boogie: well he deserves a break.

                psle oral mid aug.
oral prelim end july while LC prelim in aug...quite far apart.
math syllabus should be completing end july and science should be finishing soon since it's touch and go. i'm working on her english paper 2 components while tutor works on paper 1 and comprehension oe.

need to pace my revision since not using dsa and don't want her to burn out. tuition will resume end oct for english.

why still need to resume Eng tuition after PSLE? Maybe might be better to make her pick up reading instead and give small projects like book reviews or rewriting endings, character analysis or something to make it fun?

to prepare her for sec 1. there will be more time for her to read but she cannot slack too long for english.

I have often shared with parents that it’s only 1 more year (sec 1) before the opportunity to master English as a language lapses. So in my view, it is indeed a good idea to have some english guidance after PSLE.

                      regards,
