Maybe next year somebody will write an app that gives real-time updates. That would be super helpful...

It's easy to write the app... it's difficult to get the schools' staff to update the info in real time! And the only entity which can do this would be MOE itself. Only when the whole system is moved to online registration will real-time updates become a possibility.
