      Hi Shugarhigh,

I dont know which class my son is in actually yet.
      neither the school house.
but I juz called the school, all within phase 2C has been accepted into the school.
the orientation is on 17th Nov and the school has confirmed that the book buying and uniforms will be another day instead as they want to concentrate on the orientation for the kids.
so most prob i will find out more from the other kids that day on their own chat group i guess.

        Hi Nat.mom

yes, books and uniform buying are on a separate day, which makes the whole Orientation less chaotic. Books can be ordered online and you can arrange to either get the order couriered to you at a fee or you can pick up the packed order from school at given dates.
as for class chat group, i recall we only exchanged contacts and set up the watsapp chat on the first 1-2 days when school started for the boys.

          Hi Nat.mom

This chat is usually rather quiet.
But your boy's class may start their own parent chat group on Watsapp.
Also, the school uses the Class Dojo app. They use this to update parents of happenings and events in sch. you can also use this app to contact your boy's teacher.

          Savannah00,
          https://www.moe.gov.sg/admissions/prima ... #Serangoon
the numbers are here, but no breakdown numbers for SG/PR/FR applicants.
But judging from the numbers, i doubt there will be a need to ballot...hopefully!
Hi Shugarhigh, do u mean for Phase 2Cs? Do u think I'll stand a chance for 2Cs - SC more than 2km away.

If based on last year’s numbers, you should be quite safe to get a slot.

              aprilday,
No the school does not offer higher chinese.

Thanks Shugarhigh. The filling of Phase 2Cs at St Gab is probably from the same neighborhood? The leftover from Rosyth this year probably isn't as much as last yr. Plus the other two schools in serangoon still have lots vacancies & is single gender Sch, so, should be ok I hope!
                Hahaha! 😄

Hi parents, may I check something about the Sch bus service? Going home journey- are the children picked up immediately after Sch ends or do they need to wait for an hr or so before they can take the bus back? What do parents do for boys who needs to stay back for extra remedials or CCA activities? I assume there will be no Sch bus service for after Sch hours. Thanks

                    Hi Savannah00

My boy does not take the school bus so not able to advise you on this.
But during dismissal, the boys are put in bus-line, walk-line and car-line groups. I usually see the school buses waiting for the boys once its dismissal time so I don’t think they need to wait to go home via school bus.

                      Hi
My P3 boy takes 2way (morn-noon) school bus. School dismissal is at 1.30pm. Students on bus line will all proceed to school hall to the assigned bus line stand where the bus driver will be waiting for them. After that bus driver will bring them to the bus. I stay within 1km so my boy will reach home usually at 1.50pm. There will be another round of school bus service at 330pm to cater to those staying back for remedial/ supplmentary/ cca but it will b for those that pay for noon bus service. There r some cca that dun fall into that timing then parent/student has to do their own arrangement.
Hope this will help u. 😄

Hi car118, thanks for your reply.
I recently heard from the school that they are reviewing Long Lim bus service? Not sure if they will still use the same bus company next year?
