One reason why hawkers stop accepting 5cent coins is because of the admin fee. -

About 20 coins can easily be used up. At hawker, food court, markets etc.
I usually change the bigger notes and keep quite abit of coins and $2 notes in my wallet for dd school pocket money..easily more than 20 coins..and now few days into school holiday. Almost all gone le. I gave her exact change to queue and buy own food. -

sure can’t use the old coins mah? I still see the 10cts coin in circulation. at least I had it in back to my wallet and used it quite recently.
